Welcome to join our Global Product Development Team in Hillerstorp as our next Product Developer - Textiles.

Thule Group continues to grow and we are in the most ambitious period in the company’s history in terms of product development investments in our traditional categories as well as in our newer categories such as Active With Kids (strollers, multifunctional strollers, child bike seats and child carrier backpacks)
To enable this expansion we are now strengthening our Soft goods / textile team with additional members.
As a Product Developer - Textiles you will hold a key position in the soft goods development team, a team that support all the product development projects involving textiles.
You will drive technical part of soft goods development, from product initiation to ready for production.
You have the overview of all ongoing development projects, coordinate resources and delegate tasks for members in the soft goods team, today consisting of Soft Goods Pattern Specialists, a Material Developer and Sewing Technicians.
We have over the last years invested in a modern sewing workshop that allows us to quickly move from idea to physical prototypes at hand.
In this role you work towards many contacts within and outside the company such as product manager, project manager, hard goods design engineers, production engineering, purchasing, quality, industrial design and suppliers.

Your profile: 

You have an academic Engineering degree within textile or similar and you have gained a couple of years of work experience from development of textile products or products partly consisting of textiles. You have a basic understanding of pattern design (Gerber / Lectra) and prototype sewing.
We expect you have experience working in PDM-system and have knowledge and experience when it comes to release of design technical document. We also expect you can balance between multiple tasks/priorities and still consistently meet deadlines.
You are fluency in Swedish and English.

To succeed in this role we believe you have high ability to present technical solutions and challenges, and able to adjust the way of communication depending on audience.
You have high ability to motivate the team members to deliver tasks on time and with high quality as well as being a good listener for other member’s opinions and solutions.
Moreover you have great creative skills as well as analytical.

We have over 120 engineers working in our Global Product Development Department and to keep the momentum in successful product development innovation, most of our Product Development functions are in-house, such as project managers, industrial designers, concept-, design-, prototype-, simulation- and test-engineers.
Our team consists of highly skilled and motivated members with a well-balanced variety of experiences.
