We are looking for talented people who would like to extend their professional and educational potential. You have the skills and we can help you put them to good use.
Due to our increased ambitions within Research and Development (R&D), we are now looking for two Product Developers for our Turning department in Sandviken. As a Product Developer in our team you will play a central role in securing our position as a global leading supplier of tools within metal cutting. You will discover a creative and international environment where the work is done in a modern and innovative way. The organization is dynamic, with a variety of people and ideas.
Key performance areas
We are a creative and future-oriented team that always strives to give our customers better solutions and to raise the bar for our competitors. We are responsible for the whole process, from idea to launched product, and we are a vital part of ensuring our customers future success. The main challenges we are facing are to find great new solutions for coming products and to speed up our development.
We have identified a number of things we want and need to do in the near future, in order to meet the high expectations customers have of us. However, at the moment, we do not have the resources, and that's why we want you to join us and help us out.
As a member of our team, you will work with inspiring, friendly and very skilled colleagues, and together we will develop and design outstanding tools for the metal cutting industry, while having a lot of fun. One of the new roles will focus on tool design and the other one on insert design. In both roles your main task as designer is to design new products (do design work in CAD) and work with the product data describing the products. Another important part is to plan and carry out tests in our local test facilities and globally in our customers' production.
Your profile
To be well suited for this role you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Machining, Material or another relevant field, as well as workshop experience. Good communication skills in English are a prerequisite for the position, as are a driving license and knowledge of CAD. Communication skills in Swedish and knowledge of product development and programming are advantageous.
As a person you want to contribute to the team and strive for good team performance. You are open for new ideas and challenges, with a positive attitude and enjoy problem solving. You have a structured and analytical working style, and are able to plan and carry out work tasks in an organized and structured way at the same time as you try to understand problems and build knowledge.
In this recruitment we place great importance on your personality.
We actively work to create a workplace that is characterized by diversity and inclusion.
