Product Development Engineer - Additive Manufacturing

Your mission
In this position, you design, validate and bring new products to the market. You drive and lead customer projects, from customer contact to manufactured and validated products. Working closely with our Sales team you specify new products according to customer requirements, which means that you take responsibility for turning a customer demand into product solutions which excel in terms of performance, cost and quality. You collaborate with production, quality and process specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability. With the help of CAD and CAE systems, you model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.
While acting as a node of service, you help with technical questions regarding the organization’s products, systems or services and pre-sales activities, which include customers’ technical needs and different solution suggestions.
This role is based at our AM Service Center in Sandviken, Sweden.

Your character
We’re looking for someone with a relevant engineering degree, together with several years of experience in a similar role. You have knowledge of Siemens NX and experience working as a Designer. Being skilled in the field, you have previous involvement in customer projects, project management and working in Product Development. Beneficial to this position is experience within Additive Manufacturing and different production environments. Working in an international setting as this one calls for adequate skills in the English language, while knowing Swedish is a plus.
With clear ambitions, you know how to drive and lead projects in the most efficient way possible, especially when it comes to service-oriented approaches. While working with both internal and external stakeholders, you have a commercial awareness and being service minded comes naturally to you. You also line your work in methods of strategical and analytical significance – in other words, you’re structured and an effective planner.
