Our Exciting Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Data Science Development Leader to work in the DICE Team (Data Science for R&D Acceleration). DICE supports our product development organization by using data science to increase the existing processes' efficiency and effectiveness. The team develops and maintains tools, ETL pipelines, and dashboards used by thousands of users in Ericsson. It also drives technology leadership projects, where groundbreaking ideas are developed and evaluated.
This role has individual contribution and technology leadership scope. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter and problem solver who is passionate about building and deploying data science-based solutions.

Responsibilities
You will lead the DICE team from both data science and software development perspectives. It includes the following:
Working with the team to deliver end-to-end data science-based solutions (e.g. machine learning solutions and dashboards), influencing, and driving exciting projects to completion
Understanding and evaluate requirements, translating business problems to data science metrics
Leading and guiding the team to design and implement innovative data science solutions effectively
Working closely with domain specialists to design data and workflow pipelines, turning initial prototypes into production-ready solutions (minimum viable products)
Preparing, documenting, and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Contribute to Ericsson's Intellectual Property through patents or external publications (white papers, blog posts, or peer-reviewed publications)
Establishing thought leadership and engaging closely with the data science community and ecosystem
Mentoring and guiding junior members in the team, including master thesis students and summer interns


To be successful in the role you must have
Ms.C. or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering, or equivalent
At least four years of professional experience in data science, especially statistical modeling and machine learning
Deep understanding of statistics and machine learning techniques, including their underlying mathematical concepts and industry trends
Solid production engineering development experience with Python, SQL, Sklean, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or any of the prevailing AI/ML frameworks
Proficient understanding of ETL processes, model lifecycle management, and engineering design standard methodologies
Ability to create complex dashboards, primarily using Tableau
A knack for creativity and the ability to formulate problems and solve them independently
An interest to constantly learn, communicate, interact, share information, and willingness to help others

You might also have the following:
Experience in leading data science projects
Experience in writing and presenting white papers, journal articles, and technical blogs
Knowledge in data science applied to software engineering improvement
Knowledge in MLOps
