Volvo GTT's Prototype and test assembly workshop is looking for Product Development Mechanics!


As a product development mechanic, you are involved in developing the products of the future and are involved in improving today's solutions!
We offer flexible work from working with engines to being out to test drive our vehicles.
In our prototype and test assembly workshop located in Lundby, we support product development with workshop services of various kinds.


Do you like problem solving, are creative and have the customer in focus? Then we have a job for you!
Working as a product development mechanic includes both independent work and teamwork.


Main tasks:
conversion of trucks and engines
preparation of vehicles in connection with testing
construction of prototypes
work with electrically powered vehicles
manufacture of parts according to drawing
sheet metal processing in a machine shop
installation of new components and systems in today's trucks

Qualifications:
We are looking for you with a vehicle technical education or similar and a few years' experience as a truck mechanic is an advantage.
Driving license requirements: B, C and preferably CE.
All experience of preparation for testing and handling of sensors is meritorious as well as knowledge in electronics and software.


Today we are a wonderful bunch of mechanics and we work together with designers from engine, chassis and electricity.
Together with test engineers, we participate in expeditions in Kiruna and in southern Spain.
Everyday life in our workshop is eventful and we work in bright and attractive premises.
