Product Director
You will primarily work within the business area Settlement. Settlement is a marketplace/ecosystem where Upptec centrally connects insurance companies with players for repair/recycling/payment. The marketplace is based on a digital platform. The goal of Settlement is to pursue and simplify sustainability issues for insurance companies and policyholders. As a Product Director, Business Area Settlement, you are responsible for the global service delivery and partner strategy for the Business Area Settlement.
Responsibilities as Product Director, include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement a global service delivery strategy for the Business Area Settlement
- Develop trusted partnerships with stakeholders, executive sponsors and manage external Settlement partner network
- Stay up to date with industry and functional trends that impact the Settlement Business Area and Upptec in general
- Assessing and implementing improved processes, new technologies, and collaborating with management regarding the implementation of these improvements.
- Monitor feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements and product roadmaps
- Collaborating with business units across regional and functional areas
This position includes numerous contacts, primarily with suppliers, customers, and partners. Your role in this is making sure that the business area Settlement is growing and moving forward.
Who are you?
We believe that you are an analytical person who can understand many different perspectives and have a strong business acumen. You should be comfortable in a leading role, whereas you are the person who will continue to build this business area. Furthermore, you have a can-do attitude and an abilitity to take ownership of the Settlement area. Your communication skills are excellent, and you should have no troubles with decision-making. At last, we do believe that you are an entrepreneur at heart - since this position needs some entrepreneurial thinking.
Furthermore, we do believe that you have following experience:
- 2-5 years of experience from working in in a previous complex business area/enterprise and preferred within Management/Strategy/Project Management
- Bachelor or master’s degree in International Business, Industrial Economics, Engineering or any other related field
- Conceptual understanding of SaaS/software products
- Excellent problem solving capabilities and a high level of initiative
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Excellent Swedish and English oral and written communication skills
- Experience regarding partnerships and skills in negotiations and contracts
- Experience of project management and/or longer-term business planning
- Ability to understand and communicate legal/technical concepts
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
Preferred skills and experience
- Proficiency with agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
- Experience of working abroad and/or being part of an international team
- Experience from working in the insurance industry and/or Fintech/Insurtech is considered a plus, as well as having experience of marketplaces. It is also considered as a plus if you have experience from working with and leading software development teams.
You should as well be a person who enjoys travelling. This position includes some travels to the Nordic countries, as well as Europe.
