As a Product Engineer you will work in a creative environment where design, engineering, drive, communication and responsibility are some of the key words!

We are looking for an ambitious Engineer who can develop how we test our furniture based on our knowledge on people's life at home!

In this role you will take responsibility for developing test methods to ensure the product quality within assigned area and initiate improvements. This assignment includes deciding what tests the product should undergo before it's technical specification are finalized and here you will collaborate with the test lab. It's important that you have an understanding of what the customers wants, and that you have the capability to drive and lead. It's also important that you like structure, but at the same time likes to challenge and further develop how we work. Our products are manufactured outside of IKEA of Sweden and sometimes by several different independent suppliers.

Is this the right challenge for you?

We are looking for you with a university degree as an Engineer and some years of relevant experience. You have good understanding of product development and project management. It is good if you have knowledge in wood based furniture and tests. As a person you have the ability to communicate and integrate with different people and you have also skills in administrative tasks. You are a problem solver and have the ability to organize your work. You enjoy working in teams, have high precision in work and enjoy details.

IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world. You therefore need to be fluent in English.
