Product Engineering Manager - Packaging, IKEA Food

We are now recruiting for a Product Engineering Manager - Packaging, responsible to drive and support the development of sustainable packaging solutions for IKEA Food products. Do you want to be part of our exiting journey? If yes, this might be the perfect challenge for you!

As a Product Engineering Manager for Packaging, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead and organize the Packaging Engineering team within IKEA Food. This role is focused on both business and people, and you will be at the very heart of IKEAs product development.

Together with the team, you will drive the development of more sustainable and circular packaging solutions for IKEA Food products, considering all five aspects of Democratic Design (Form, Function, Price, Quality and Sustainability). You will also lead the establishment of the packaging engineering foundation incl. requirements, development guidelines and principles, working tools, master data, ways of working etc. Of course, you will also drive the packaging development for new items. In this role you report to the Range & Product Engineering Manager for Business Area Food.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
Contribute to the Business Area strategies and business plan
Establish and support the food packaging engineering assignment, incl. key capabilities:
Requirements identification and implementation
Master data management
Development of guidelines and principles
Working tools  

Secure and optimise the allocation of relevant Engineering Specialist resources in the Development & Life Cycle Management
Succession planning and recruitment of packaging engineering specialist competence
Develop and secure the right competence level for each co-worker
Establish and secure deployment and efficient usage of aligned working methods and solutions
