Zettle by PayPal is looking for an experienced product manager to lead the Verification team within the Seller Lifecycle Alliance. You will manage a team of Product Managers and be responsible for building products globally to deliver to small business owners the joint value of PayPal and Zettle offering. The SMB onboarding and verification experience is key in enabling Zettle to achieve scale, allowing small businesses to grow through selling and getting paid seamlessly. Zettle only scales as fast as its ability to onboard and verify our sellers. Your team will build the next standard in onboarding and business verification by leveraging PayPal’s existing Risk and Compliance platforms to enable the growth of Zettle globally. You will explore the problem/solution space, define the strategy, and lead a team through a fast-moving lean process to deliver value to customers. You will establish strong relationships especially with multiple teams across the organisation (Identity, Compliance, Risk, KYC, Support, Onboarding) to collaborate on product design and delivery. This is a strategically important area for Zettle and the opportunity for impact is high!
Responsibilities:
Drive product strategy, roadmap, and execution across your area
Set vision and goals for the teams in your area
Lead and inspire the team of Product Managers, support and develop your team
Empower Product Managers in your area to get things done - serve as a point of escalation for the team, helping to remove barriers and roadblocks and navigate difficult or complex decisions
Influence senior leaders and the broader organisation as to the product direction and other key strategic considerations.
Partner across the organisation to deliver business results in a product ecosystem environment while communicating and influencing effectively
Develop and defend strong points-of-view with data and analytics
Success in this role requires the following:
Extensive product management experience with at least 2 years of people management
Customers Empathy – you are excited about building great user experiences for customers
Experience managing/mentoring Product Managers - you are passionate about motivating and developing your teams
You thrive in organisations with a large portion of ambiguity and complexity – you can turn ambiguous inputs into a solid plan
Experience building complex consumer-facing products - you are an expert in managing complex technical products and navigating difficult trade-offs
Exceptional communication and presentation skills – story telling, ability to motivate your teams and influence stakeholders across the organisation
