Volvo Group Truck Technology are looking for engineers within Electrical & Electronics Engineering at the group for EE Infrastructure HW


There is now an opportunity for you to join Volvo Group Truck Technology in the development of our products.
Electrical and Electronics Engineering has an increased need of skilled electrical hardware engineers within the group for EE Infrastructure Hardware located in Gothenburg.


The team is responsible for the complete chain from specification and development to maintenance of Electrical Control Units, all done in close cooperation with our suppliers throughout the world.
We do this with the high Volvo quality standards in mind to secure a profitable solution for our complete range of brands within the Volvo Group.

Position description
The role will consist of two parts: Product leader for one of our agile hardware teams and sub-system leader for the group EEI HW.


As Product Leader (PL) you are a member of our agile team and are responsible for defining stories and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team.


As The sub-system architect, your responsibility consists of the following (but not exclusive):
Develop and support electrical design solutions for both new and existing platforms.
Develop the design and integration of all electrical interfaces.
Computation and Signal distribution architecture concepts balancing numerous requirements from Performance, bandwidth, function allocation, Aftermarket needs, Production system needs etc.
Computation and Signal distribution architecture concepts taking geometric/mechanical needs.
Contribute to Hardware and Communication technology roadmap

You will in this role work in a cross functional team, often with global representation. In addition you will also cooperate with external suppliers to develop the electronics and ECU housing.

Required skills and qualifications
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
5+ years of experience within hardware development of embedded systems or equivalent architectural work
Former experience within agile development and the tools
Agile development of electrical hardware
Experience of automotive hardware and software development
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Experience from APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) is a merit
