The Material Handling Product Team consist of technical product managers, technical project managers and responsibility of automation platform and is a part of the Epiroc R&D underground division.

Your mission
As a Product legislation and safety engineer you will be responsible for globally monitoring product legislation, guidelines and standards, interpret how these affect the Material Handling product line. You have the responsibility to inform key stakeholders in the R&D organization of the effects and coordinate the required actions.
You will be a part of risk assessments and support R&D projects in the development and evaluation of safety related part of control systems and protective measures, ensuring that the products are safe and that they meet all relevant product legislation and standards. You will also support customer projects and when necessary take lead in identification of problems, design and implementation of technical solutions, documenting the work and the technical solution.
Internally you give training in product legislation, safety of machinery, risk assessment and functional safety as well as maintaining and developing internal guidelines, templates and training material.
Your profile
You have a documented academic background within mechanical engineering / automation, i.e. Master or Bachelor degree. Knowledge/experience of vehicle automation systems is an advantage and you are used to work as a project manager. We also expect you to have several years of relevant experience regarding product legislation for heavy duty machinery, preferable for mining or construction.
You will have both internal and external contacts, therefore we expect you to be fluently in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. Occasional travel is required.
