Then you should join us as our new Product Lifecycle Engineer (PLE).
The Product Lifecycle Engineer is a key role in the engineering team, with responsibility to take care of and maintain our products. Your main tasks will be administration, documentation and following up on certification activities, as well as taking part in and leading compliance projects. You will help to secure that product information is up-to-date and according to guidelines and standards, as well to be the one having an a nose for where gaps are in our compliance work.
As a PLE you work in close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders involved in the project during the whole development process.
In a day in the role as a PLE you will:
Support to define and initiate regulatory assessments
Work closely with third party tests labs and IKEA representatives throughout the world
Responsible to perform moderate changes on products including technical requirements, labels & markings etc.
Initiate and track that all certification tests following time schedule and are finalized successfully before product launch for all IKEA sales markets
Be part of requirement/regulatory forums to create/interpret regulatory requirements
The position is placed in Älmhult and might require some long distance travelling.
