At Business Unit PDP; Product Development Platform, we have the assignment to work across IKEAs range to create and develop mechanical platform solutions where we have the biggest impact on our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people. In our journey to success, we will now scale up our team in order to deploy new innovative solutions and platform modules across the IKEA range.
Right now we are looking for a Product lifecycle Engineer who together with us will work with developing our platform solutions. Focus for this role will be storage, tables and chairs furniture.
Job Description
The Product Lifecycle Engineer (PLE) is a key role for our engineering team with the responsibility to create and maintain our product documentation. Your main tasks will be variant development of existing and ongoing product platform development.
Your job will include the following:
Conduct changes on product documentation including technical requirements, CAD drawings and packaging solutions
Support in securing the complete product documentation during the Product life cycle
Support in verification and validation activities
Secure that technical product information is up-to-date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards
Be part of PLE network and contribute to developing the team.

Qualifications
We are looking for:
You who have a university degree in engineering or equivalent work life experience.
You have a strong drive and motivation for securing the creation and maintenance of product documentation.
You have a passion for creating structure and work in an analytical way.
Your knowledge in 3D and 2D CAD and SolidWorks as well as IT tools for product information will be considered as an added advantage.
Experience in Product Lifecycle Management system is an added advantage.
We see that you are a committed and self-driven person with a strong will to influence and make a difference.
You take the lead in planning and executing your own work as well as in your contacts with internal and external stakeholders.
You have strong communication skills in English and the ability to build trustful relationships.

Additional information
The position is placed in Älmhult, Sweden.
Starting date will be within the first two months of 2022.
