Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC) is a world-leading supplier of equipment and complete solutions for the mining and construction industries.SMC's production unit in Svedala is a global development center for stone crushers, which are used in mining, quarries and the construction industry.The site is divided into three main areas of operation: foundry (Wear Parts), mechanical workshop (Parts) and assembling (Assembly).Our goal is to become the market leader, with a safe, environmentally friendly, productive and profitable product.As PLM you will work with a complex product that requires full-time management, building up the product aftermarket offering, working with Sales Support, Sponsoring and Directing, Product Development Center (PDC) projects, profitability, etc.Key performance areas As PLM your main responsibilities will be to manage the portfolio, market and sales activities.Additionally, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with the SMC safety management programs and integrating Sandvik's Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality standards in the product line.You will give feedback on product quality performance to all units supplying the products, to ensure a consistent global quality level.It is also your responsibility to: - Improve market position for Sandvik Crushing Chambers - Evaluate how the product line can further increase its attractiveness with the help of design, pricing, packaging, training, services, etc.- In the short term, finalize PDC projects and support new sales As PLM you will report to the Global Aftermarket manager for Mining Crushers.The position involves about 50-100 days of travelling per year. Your profile To be successful in this position, you will need a technical background with a degree in, for example, engineering.You are business-oriented, with experience from the industry and accustomed to working and doing business in an international environment.We would expect you to have a strong interest in understanding customer needs and identifying Sandvik's capability to supply value.You will be involved in some international travel as well as dealing with external contacts.Therefore, good English, both spoken and written, is essential.
