The role is product focused and concentrates on providing guidance and advice on the implementation of selling strategies for the product range.The PLM supports 4 customer segments within SMC. Key performance areas .Safe and healthy working environment in compliance with the SMC safety management program..Introduction of new products into the market..Organizing product training for sales and service personnel for the respective products..Responsible for the customer satisfaction and equipment performance over its lifetime.This also includes responsibility for appropriate supporting spares and wears inventory (specifically of non-forecasted items)..Keeping up to date with competitor product development and competitor product performance..Training and education on the product range.Assisting with the compilation of tender documentation, pricing strategies, and the supply of marketing material..Visiting key customers in conjunction with the CS sales team to provide in depth product knowledge..Ensuring that product performance levels and specifications meet customer requirements..Coordinates data from the market for analysis, in order to secure successful development of new product offerings .Monitor test results for new products .Controls promotion and marketing material in conjunction with the Marketing Director. Travelling: The role requires travelling to most of the 24 countries.Depending on the business demands it will mean that the person in this role will travel about 80-100 days per annum. Relations: Internal: Customer Segment Managers, Local Sales Teams, Product Offering Managers, Aftermarket team members.External: Customers, End-users, Distributors, dealers and agents Reporting: The PLM will report directly to the Vice President - Construction, for the NCE Region.The PLM will have the same responsibilities in all other customer segments and will be required to serve the needs for Tools across 4 of SMCs segments. Location: The desired location for the PLM is one of the NCE regional offices and this will be finalized and agreed upon with the successful applicant, based on individual circumstances.
