Product Management Specialists

The main goal for our Product Management function is to ensure and maintain a competitive product portfolio within the areas of turning, milling, drilling and machine integration.As a Product Management Specialist you have a key role in all stages of the product life cycle. We work in an international environment with many possibilities to meet new people, cultures and challenges."Your success in focus" is a key phrase for us, both in how we approach our customers and how we work with our employees.We are now strengthening our organization and looking for Product Management Specialists within our product areas: Turning tools, Milling tools, Drilling Tools and Machine Integration.The positions are based in Sandviken.Key performance areas As a Product Management Specialist you will take part in developing a product strategy for the given area of responsibility that ensures a competitive and profitable product offering in line with our business strategy.The product strategy will include product initiatives: identifying new requirements as well as monitoring the current assortment to ensure a complete and competitive offer.Product projects will be coordinated through the development department, supply units and external partners. You will be responsible for the introduction of new products and for defining technical marketing and training requirements to support the product area and maximize the potential in the market place.Work is conducted in a global network and in key markets to develop knowledge about the product's application area, to understand customer needs, gather market requirements and forecast future trends.The role of Product Management Specialist involves many contacts, both at the headquarters and in all of our subsidiaries, thereby opening up many future career opportunities.Your profile You have a university degree in engineering or business administration or, professional experience in machining and manufacturing.Experience of metal cutting and marketing in a global environment is advantageous.We expect you to have a genuine technical understanding and strong business interest.As a person you are self-motivated with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.You are creative and open to change, with the ability to share your knowledge with others and to prioritize tasks.You take a holistic view and have good analytical abilities.The position involves a number of international contacts and, therefore, requires fluency in English, in both speaking and writing.Send your application no later than January 4, 2011.
