Product Manager

There is currently a transformation going on in the industries related to electrical production, supply and propulsion. This is driven by environmental factors but also a leap in technology. Megger, as a leading provider of test and measurement equipment, is a part of this transformation.

The Product Management team at our site in Danderyd is now looking for a Product Manager to drive the development in one of our main application areas. We are looking for a person who quickly can learn and build a network regardless of background – but if you already have experience in smart grid and battery applications it is a strong merit as this will be the focus.

Megger is a global company with several sites globally. This current position is for the site in Danderyd, Sweden. At the site we have competence and responsibility covering the whole product life cycle for our product ranges: from product idea, to development, production and marketing/aftersales. This gives a great possibility to be part of shaping our future.

About the job

You will be part of a team that forms the Product Management department. It consists of product managers, application engineers, senior specialists and a marketing person.

In this role you are a key person in various contexts and will quickly build a large network within the team, the R&D department, all major sales offices and the other development sites around the world. We strongly believe in being close to our customers, for example to get high quality insights that could inspire new product development projects.

For the right person there is a high degree of freedom in shaping the role – and of course freedom in what to focus on and how deliver results. However, below are some typical tasks and responsibilities:

Create commercial product information like presentations and product data sheets. Set prices for our global markets, maintain price lists and negotiate strategic discounts/campaigns Continuously evaluate and prioritize sustaining work for products within responsibility Develop new product ideas and collaborate with R&D in development projects Take part in sales meetings for all our sales regions and visit strategic customers

In normal conditions travel is part of the work, in the current situation of aim is to perform the same job using online tools.

Qualifications

Product management requires a mix of technical understanding, business sense and interest in the customer, so we believe the right personality is more important than exact formal merits. Below are a few things we will look for:

M.Sc or similar in some Engineering discipline Some university course in marketing, business administration or similar on the side is a strong plus Good common and general understanding of technology Ability to collect data, analyse it and independently draw conclusions that can be presented in a consistent way Someone we can trust to make wise business choices and handle our customers professionally
