Product Manager

The Product Manager is responsible for the optimization of her/his respective product portfolio – 150 – 200 produced grades, ~ 1.000.000 ton of sales volume – with the purpose of maximizing customer experience and financial performance.
The role holder drives for continues performance improvement on product and portfolio level as well. In collaboration with other functions, regularly reviews product portfolio and drives additions, modifications and simplifications to match the profitable market needs. Through the optimization of product recipes and manufacturing processes improves product quality and reduces production costs. The Product Manager is responsible for product quality and compliance towards customers and regulatory bodies.
She/he is directly leading her/his respective team and chairing the multidisciplinary alignment platform on all relevant production locations.
As a Product Manager you will:
Manage the respective product portfolio
Optimize value, maturity and complexity of the portfolio
Propose product and technology modifications to improve customer experience and financial performance
Contribute to the strategy formulation of the technology platform
Definition and management of the product-property matrix based on in-depth market, customer and competitor intelligence
Optimizing the cost of production
Managing product quality and compliance, rectifying product related complaints
Developing sourcing strategy for the portfolio
Leading the team of Product Owners and other Product Management professionals
Leading the monthly multidisciplinary local alignment forums on the respective manufacturing locations.

We expect you to have...
...a university degree in a related field (Technical/Engineering studies), 8+ years relevant technical working experience in senior position and a good knowledge of application and processing technologies.
You have a strong strategic perspective on the interaction of customer expectations and technology capabilities and experience in portfolio management.
We believe you will enjoy this position if you have:
5+ years leadership experience
Strong presentation skills
English fluently
Preferably commercial experience
Hands on with MsOffice tool box
