GROUP PRODUCT MANAGER, CONTENT MISSION – CUSTOMER DOMAIN
IKEA is looking for a Group Product Manager to join the Content Mission in the Digital Team. This Mission is central to our evolution towards a customer-centric organisation and our longterm success. IKEA has long been a pioneer in the retail space delivering products that our customers love and now we are taking that expertise to new levels building the next generation of retail experiences for the many!
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
In this role you will be responsible for developing and driving the vision and strategy within our Customer Domain, specifically accountable for the articulation of content and product strategy for our Range and Merchandising teams. These teams sit at the heart of our omni-channel retail experience driving the content experience that our customers rely on to delight and inspire them. You will be building and leading a team of highly talented Senior Product Managers, Product Managers and Associate Product Managers and you will have direct and significant impact on one of the world’s biggest and most innovative retail brands. We are expecting you to help us take this incredible business to the next level.
You will be:
● Developing end to end global product vision and strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders
● Developing Content Strategy based on jobs to be done or similar framework
● Evangelising your strategy across the org at all levels with energy, enthusiasm and passion despite challenges
● Building and managing a team consisting of at least 3 Senior Product Managers, who in turn lead the product development of their respective full stack team
● Accountable for defining and owning a clear set of business metrics
● A key part of the domain’s leadership and product leadership teams
● Expected to own and drive cross-domain product initiatives from time to time
● Working in close collaboration with tech, design and analytics counterparts to lead and grow your Product Domain
Who you are:
● You have experience from successful delivery of innovative consumer experiences
● You have experience of working with digital content of all types, ideally in an e-commerce or retail environment
● You have a deep understanding of best-in-class digital products
● You have taken a series of successful consumer-focused products from ideation to full launch using Design Thinking and/or agile methodologies
● You have experience of hiring, coaching and growing high-performing teams of product managers in a complex, global org
● You have several years experience as a people manager
● You are self motivated with a strong focus on delivery of user value
● You are driven, but with a collaborative mindset. “You don’t win unless your team wins”
● You are well organized with great attention to detail
● You are a “do-er”, willing to work hands-on including stepping in to work directly with a development team in a product role if needed.
● You are highly capable of formulating and communicating bold and far-reaching product vision and strategy, whether it be to your team or to senior stakeholders
● You have strong influencing skills and can adroitly navigate a complex and matrixed organisation
● You are a change agent helping us build a customer-centric world-class product development culture
● You are open to travel
● You are an excellent communicator in English, whether it be in words or in writing
This role is a permanent position and will be located in Malmö, Sweden.
