The Motors & Generators Service Responsible Unit in Sweden provides services and aftersales support to the worldwide installed base of large motors and generators manufactured in Västerås, Sweden. We work together with ABB units around the world to serve customers and end-users of our motors and generators. Enabling customers to properly care for their motors and generators throughout a long and reliable life is a great contribution to sustainability in the market.
In the role of Product Manager you are working closely with stakeholders within the own team as well as members of the global organization to understand the market and customer needs. Your focus is to provide a comprehensive portfolio that contributes to an optimal lifecycle experience of ABB motors and generators.
The role reports to General Manager - Service Responsible Unit Sweden.


Your responsibilities
Product Management for the Aftersales & Service portfolio for large industrial motors and generators
Support the business by overseeing all steps in the product & service life cycle phases, including development, launch, maintenance and phase-out
Define product road map based on evaluation of market and customer needs, technology trends and product performance, both against competition and new market opportunities
Work with digitalizing the products & services and run strategic projects related to portfolio improvement Interact with sales units around the world to understand portfolio experience and identify improvement needs
Own and coordinate the Product Lifecycle Management process for the products within the portfolio
Collaborate with Product Management roles within the global Service and Product divisions for alignment of plans and activities
Support sales trainings related to the portfolio



Your background
A university degree, preferably in Engineering
A service-minded personality and a strong customer focus
Structured, communicative and able to work independently
Fluency in English
Experience in product management or business development is a plus
Experience in aftermarket and/or motors & generators business is a plus
