Product Manager to Alva Labs

Well, it depends. Looking at research the recruitment scene is dark. If you are a woman, you need to send in 30% more applications than men. If you are a person of color, that number goes up to 50%. If you have a foreign-sounding name, you are 60% less likely to get a call back to an interview (regardless of the level of experience). If you are too old, or too young, you will struggle to get a job. If your BMI is higher, it will be harder too. The role
We are looking for a Product Manager, to be responsible for our key product surface. Our assessment experience. It will be your job, in close collaboration with engineers, designers, analytics, and our Head of Product, to nail the future of our platform. We are looking for a mini CEO to run this part of the product development, and create something fantastic. You will make good use of your customer obsession as well as candidate obsession. You might not be it yet, but in time, you will be an expert in this field, truly understanding what the customer and candidate want and need.
There isn’t going to be a lot of red tape, we rather expect you to come in and tell us how to run things and what to do. We trust you to take the long-term perspective, set a vision, and think long and hard about where to focus rather than writing individual tickets in Jira.
You
We aren’t exactly focused on your background, it isn’t really in our DNA to scan resumes. Much more important, we look for the right person.
You will likely be a fit for us if:
- Your heart beats for problem-solving and everything analytical
- You have a track record of building strategy and winning long-term bets
- You have a couple of years as a PM in a fast-growing company
- Ideally, you have worked with consumer software, with a high number of users
English is our internal language, so no need to speak Swedish. And hey, if you aren’t ticking all the above-mentioned boxes, apply anyway. You might still be the one (wink-wink)!
