About our R&D – Platform Software Services
Building this new software-centric platform is highly prioritized and we are facing a new stage. Our department was established to take lead in the coming challenges. Our team is evolving with the development of our SW platform and must continue building a committed team of Software Architects and Engineers with both a holistic understanding of SW architecture and a commitment to details and quality code. We are responsible for governing API and application architecture for the software in the Electric Control Units. We set deliverables, frameworks, patterns, and policies that are fundamental for other development teams to build with consensus. We also act as development support by working together with teams to succeed with development and integration.

We are looking for a Product Manager in Lund
To succeed with our mission, we will need a highly strategic Product Manager to maximize value-added work by providing strategic and tactical guidance to a variety of teams for the features and experiences of our products. You will drive the product vision, strategy, and execution in addition to overseeing product roadmaps. You will ultimately be accountable for the strategy/roadmap of the Application Architecture, API’s, Tools and SW development support that shape the next generation of SW solutions for our Volvo Cars.

Role Specifics
You will be the key-competence to lead the product strategy and vision for Platform Software Services and drive execution with Product Owners, Architects and Scrum Masters cross-functionally to harmonize the product roadmap. You will delineate the technical, quality, and project deliverables to achieve measurable goals set by the product.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a product backlog, as well as overseeing the breakdown of this into relevant team backlogs and driving all development tasks related to these backlogs as well as collaborating with external entities such as academia, research institutes to build the necessary tools and SW roadmap.

Requirements 
We believe you are an accomplished former embedded software engineer who is motivated by challenging tasks in a complex and innovative environment. Needless to say- technology and teamwork is your real passion. You enjoy learning from others, as well as sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. You are fluent in English and can communicate effectively with all types of stakeholders. You are social, analytical, and a problem solver. You adapt easily to different situations and specific needs. Strong customer focus, courage, and an ability to balance stakeholders are also important competences in this role.

* M.Sc. in Electrical and/or Computer Science, Software Engineering
* At least 10 years of experience from working with software development, committing code as well as and handling requirements within software projects
* Track record of delivering business and technology results for complex, cross-functional initiatives while managing multiple competing priorities
* Established leadership with end-to-end product delivery and direct customer collaboration
* Experience from working on SW architecture in large scale software developing organization
