Are you passionate about our trucks and their usage in urban and suburban applications? Would you like to be part of the electromobility transformation in this part of the transport industry? At the same time, would you like to work very close to, and directly support, our independent importers in Europe (Portugal, Israel, Greece) and the market company in Morocco in terms of product management?
In that case, we have an opportunity for you who have a great combination of technical vehicle knowledge, truck applications and commercial aspects mixed with a wide contact network in Volvo Trucks.
What do we do?
Within the Sales Support team we are focusing on the existing offer, primarily interacting with the Sales Areas and markets. Our goal is to enhance the markets’ abilities to promote and sell the best offer to customers in relevant segments. We support and guide in sales of the correct specifications to reach targets like CO2, safety, eMob volumes, etc. We develop and deliver driver training and sales support material.
What will you do?
The role Product Manager is critical to support Sales Areas and markets with agile and business oriented product expertise for urban and suburban applications within: distribution, refuse collection, urban construction, public service & utility, etc. All FL & FE applications are included but also other truck models suitable for the applications above.
The scope is limited to existing offer as soon as it is available in our sales systems but also main adaptations. It includes all electrified products targeting the applications above. As these are applications suitable for electrification, a significant support need from Sales Areas and markets can be expected. An excellent opportunity to be part of the future as it unfolds.
You will monitor, consolidate and drive needs for short term product modifications related to applications above. You will describe the scope and business case for such modifications by e.g. issue IPMRs. However, you will not need to take a major part in potential development projects in e.g. European Medium Duty Business Unit (EMD BU).
Moreover, you will actively take part in and support product trainings, product launches and other activities both internal and external.

What we believe you have:
Deep technical understanding of Volvo Trucks products, processes and offering.
Application expertise vs. customer usage.
Product structure knowledge.
Superstructure knowledge.
Knowledge of technical sales systems (VSS, PERF, WIS, VBI, etc.).
Service mind-set and sense of urgency.
High level of integrity to impose product structure restrictions if needed to reach set goals.
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Fully proficient in written & spoken English, other languages are considered a merit.
Truck driving license preferable.
Market experience is an advantage.
