Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager within our business unit segment Driver Information Systems. As a Product Manager you will be part of our product segments Product Management team, consisting of Product Managers and System Architects.

Your role
The main challenge ahead for the Product Manager is to continue to drive the profitability and growth for our Driver Information Systems product portfolio. You will be responsible for managing the product portfolio to meet the segment specific targets as well as Stoneridge’s targets on growth and profitability. As a Product Manager, you will be involved in all phases of the product lifecycle, from the definition of new products and the segment roadmap together with the Systems Architects to handling products that is approaching the end of production. The role also includes being involved in development programs with the responsibility of handling scope changes and product profitability.

Main responsibilities:

• Product profitability
• Initiate and follow up sustaining engineering activities
• Identify and initiate cost-ratio programs
• Define and lead new business activities

The position offered will require some traveling between different development/manufacturing sites and customers. You will report to the Director of Product management, Driver Information Systems.

Qualifications
We believe that the candidate we are looking for has a background and strong interest in both technology and finance. Superb leadership skills, technical knowledge about embedded systems and a strong analytical mindset are the most important qualifications for this role. Good communication skills and fluency in English is necessary for this role.

The ideal candidate has previous experience from:

• Product management
• Automotive or other vehicle industry
• Work experience from engineering, marketing, procurement or operation functions
• Minimum a bachelor degree in Engineering and/or Business administration
