Product Manager

We are currently recruiting a Product Manager to join our client´s team in Stockholm. Our client is a well known international company within the automotive business. The business is entrepreneurial, results driven and ambitious with a steadily improving market share.

The role's purpose is to determine the optimal product strategy and line-up for all relevant models, both current and future, in order to maximize sales and margin potential in the Scandinavia cluster. The Product Manager will report to the Marketing Manager of Scandinavia.

Main duties and responsibilities
• To define the product specification and mix for all affected products and communicate this to internal staff, dealers and relevant agencies
• To define product and price positioning for relevant products
• To regularly assess relevant products’ pricing, specification and offers against competitor performance and formulate responses as required
• Liaise with Denmark and Finland to ensure product and pricing strategy is aligned
• To work with logistics to ensure product mix and supply meets agreed product objectives
• To manage local new product Launch Committee for relevant products.
• To work with sales & finance colleagues to prepare margin, discount structure and quarterly offers for relevant products
• Brief and check PR policy for relevant models
• Define the marketing plan for the year for all relevant models
• Manage activities related to transport laws (certificate emission, legal consultancy on homologations, etc...)

Knowledge, skills and qualification requirements
• Experience in all areas of product management within the automotive sector including pricing and market analysis
• Able to work independently of others and use initiative
• Strong interpersonal skills required to manage relationships with colleagues both in the DK, Scandinavia and Italy
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong sense of initiative and proactively
• Highly self motivated and have the drive to succeed
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to respond and adapt to new challenges on a daily basis
• Extremely proficient in Excel including use of pivots. Competent in other Microsoft Office applications
• Full clean driving license
