Product Manager Cloud

What's this gig about?
You'll develop and maintain processes to improve customer experience, specify requirements for new features, analyse user behaviour, and work to grow our public cloud customer base by targeting small- and medium-sized companies and developer communities.
What will I be working on?
You will develop the customer journey for the City Cloud service. City Cloud is a public cloud, based on OpenStack, with various adjacent technologies like Git, Ansible, and Open edX.
You will directly contribute to developing new features by producing requirement specifications based on user behaviour, feedback, and feature requests.
You will be responsible for maintaining the City Cloud roadmap.
You will initiate marketing activities together with the marketing team.

What should I bring?
Here are the skills that you'll need to bring:
You should have a clear understanding of marketing, operations management, and finance and a strategic understanding of how products work within a business.
You should be able to communicate concisely and clearly in English and write to be understood.
You should be comfortable with externalizing information.

These are the skills that we really require. Everything else — everything that follows — is a bonus.
Familiarity with the OpenStack platform.
Experience in open-source and community building.

Prior experience in product management within IaaS, SaaS, or PaaS.
Are there formal education requirements I need to meet, such as a degree in a particular field?
Nope. Our selection process will consider prior experience and proven skills equal to a business and marketing degree.
How's work at City Network?
We're growing pretty quickly at this stage, in customers, revenue, and headcount. We have recently been acquired by Iver, but continue to operate as a separate unit under the Iver umbrella. That said, we're also solidly profitable. The company has existed for more than 15 years, so don't expect cash-burning startup insanity. This is all a good position to be in, but to be candid, just like any other company, we're not perfect.
As a company, we strive to improve and perfect the structure of how we collaborate and communicate. Still, we're not quite where we want to be in that regard. We have to set a pretty high bar here for ourselves, given that our role in the market comes with a great deal of responsibility. So, we are actively looking for people who come with an open mindset and an eagerness to help us all get better.
Suppose you have specific technical expertise on an issue that another team of colleagues is working on. In that case, you should expect to be asked to contribute your knowledge to solve the problem — just as you will expect to get that same support from them, when you have an issue of your own to resolve.
City Network has signed a Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Swedish entity and is part of Iver AB.


Can I work from home?
Yes. The location information you see below is simply that of our corporate HQ. You can work from anywhere where there's a reliable internet connection.
You're welcome to pop into one of our offices if you live near one or travel through, but that won't ever be a necessity for you to get your work done.
What countries can I work from?
No limitations in which country you can work from.
For organizational reasons (we occasionally meet in person, see below), we would generally prefer people who can travel to the EU without a visa.
What employment conditions apply?
This is a full-time position with six weeks' vacation. We have a company policy that specifies a 6-month probation period.
We can offer direct employment agreements in Sweden, Germany, and Austria. However, we are also open to signing a consulting agreement and will also be able to offer proxy employment in many countries through a partner.
If you are interested in relocating to Sweden, we offer assistance in the administrative process with the relevant government authorities, in which we have long experienced. Financial sponsoring of relocation can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
