Product Manager, Core Payments

Within the Product department the Payments team is developing existing and building new ways for customers to pay Klarna for their online purchases. Recently, we have added card payments and other local payment methods for the Klarna Checkout product in the Nordics and with our further expansion in mind, this is just the beginning! We are now looking for a Product Manager with experience utilizing analytics to deliver a simple and local payment experience for our customers in different markets.

To succeed in this role you will use your significant experience in product management, marketing and operations to manage a portfolio of payment methods. You will help evolve these products by creating and managing customer-focused lifecycle and engagement strategies.

As a Product Manager you will:
- Develop product definitions and roadmaps based on customer profiles, market needs, and competitive gaps
- Write requirements and high level specifications for new products using Klarna?s product discovery process
- Negotiate and prioritize features with key stakeholders, while using data to align strategic goals and available opportunities with senior management.
- Work closely together with the Engineering teams that are building our products
- Define and execute strategies to launch new payment products, with a strong focus on discovering and satisfying user preferences while maximizing operational efficiency

You are well versed in all aspects of product development ? from setting initial vision, to charting out roadmaps and scope with management and development teams, to launching, tracking and optimizing new initiatives, or improving existing product lines. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant experience, strong business acumen as well as excellent analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful track record of delivering quality results in large, complex cross-functional projects
- Solid understanding of the Payments industry. Specifically, knowledge about general trends in online payments, Payment methods in E-commerce, Card networks and Payment Acceptance Optimization
- Knowledge of a programming or scripting language. Most of all we are looking for a technically-inclined individual who understands and can work with highly technical people and connect technology to market insight
- Exceptional skills in written and oral communication
Comfortable gathering requirements and prioritizing backlogs
- Data analytics experience
