Product Manager, Core Platform

Klarna is looking for an entrepreneurial Product Manager to drive conceptual and technical development of Klarna?s Core Platform.

Our core platform is managing all incoming transactions, order logic, routing and availability. We have a strong team of engineers, and use high end memory sharing systems to ensure consistency, speed and availability. We?ve taken the steps to launch a new core platform, which is still in its infancy, and we need a strong individual to grow it further. You have probably done this before, and know what it means to challenge old truths, get the domain model right, participate in long discussions around technology aspects, figuring out the best approach to solve a detailed problem, work with sales and internal stakeholders to optimize our investments, as well as being open to new challenges that come in an environment of hyper growth and a platform that is broken up into services. You see data as your gut-feeling?s best friend.

Your Responsibilities
- Be the product manager responsible for Klarna?s newly built core purchase platform
- Own and deliver on your domain?s product vision, KPIs and team's roadmap (and accompanying backlog)
- Be the expert of the client domain - our APIs, our merchants and internal stakeholders
- Write requirements in the form of epics, user stories, opportunity assessment, business model canvases and prototype development - we work in an agile environment
- Collaborate closely with the chief architect, tech lead and engineering team to discover the best product and technical solutions to the businesses opportunities.
- Collect usage data for your parts of the platform, to be used for analytics, debugging and decision-making
- Identify opportunities for improvement, and execute on these via prototype validation
- Gain a deep understanding of the economics and financial dynamics of the core platform product

Requirements
- Proven track record in a similar role at a company with a proven platform
- Have at least been through one journey of taking a platform to a next generation, re-evaluating/defining APIs and services, object models, architecture & technologies
- A passionate approach in general, and specifically about high availability platforms, transaction processing and core platform architecture & technology developments
- Get-it-done attitude
- Analytical, with a passion for improving our platform offering
- Excellent leadership and relationship building skills
- Excellent spoken and written English skills
- Proficient tackling hard problems and challenging old truth
