Epidemic Sound’s music is heard in hundreds of millions of online videos daily, across millions of playlist streams, and in thousands of in-store locations. We are now looking for a Product Manager to join our Data Engineering department and take lead on our product strategy, road-mapping and execution across the data organization. The Data Engineering team is a part of the Infrastructure area - our division dedicated to building our data, infrastructure and insights platform.
How you will make an impact;
As the Product Manager of our Data Engineering team, you have a key role in a data-driven organization, making sure our data & analytics efforts get the best tools possible. You are responsible for making sure that the business always has access to correct information. The team handles everything from integrations, assessment of tools, products and frameworks to use, infrastructure for tracking and performance tuning to data modeling and user-friendly data warehousing. It’s a key part of the company's success on our mission to Soundtrack the World.
What you'll do;
- Form and grow a vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data platform that helps serve our data needs at Epidemic Sound.
- Help the team determine and evaluate success on different aspects making sure the team is focusing on the right things.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to make sure we are building the right things, tracking success metrics, and communicating developments.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager in the daily operations to ensure delivery by also keeping an eye on capabilities, happiness, resilience, and growth to empower the team.
We believe you have;
- Experience from working with product development in an agile manner in a growing and data-driven organization.
- Experience in data collection, transformation and warehousing technologies and tools like GCP, dbt, Snowplow and data warehousing architecture such as Inmon, Kimball and Data Vault.
- The mindset of a supportive leader, shifting your balance between driving momentum as an active leader and stepping back to let the team grow and develop with your support.
- Strong product expertise, with a solid understanding of software development principles and agile development methodologies
- Excellent relationship-building skills, helping your team prioritize and communicating that priority in the organization.
- The ability to lead in complex and uncertain environments and thrive when you drive change and create structure
- A love for helping your team prioritize and being adept at communicating that priority.
