We need a dynamic and motivated product management professional for our Global Emerging Market Product Portfolio team. Someone who is willing and able to travel and can collect and distil information from a wide variety of countries and cultures and then apply this to create specific needs through strong business cases. Ultimately, you will ensure all the execution tasks for launching new products are completed on time and in full.
In Detail……
The Product Manager – Emerging Markets, is responsible for the introduction and development of all finished goods, accessories and spare parts products to assist in the achievement of sales and profit targets for the Husqvarna Brand Division across the Emerging Market sales region. This includes:
Preparation of business cases for the development of new emerging market / light agriculture products or product variants.
Maintaining the product calendar and product road maps for the emerging markets based on the global CSU format.
Ensuring STEP/PIM data for EM platforms is maintained and updated so that products are activated for release in a timely and coordinated manner.
Plan and review the introduction and launch of global new models into all EM markets. Support the local product management teams with material, training and attendance as approved by the Portfolio Manager – Emerging Markets.
Ensure all support material and sell-in information for new emerging market / light agriculture products are available in a timely and accurate form.
Responsibilities:
A key member of the global EM team and therefore participates in the development, planning and execution of product range planning as part of the overall business plan.
Update and maintain product calendars and road maps for Emerging Market products by category for all EM markets.
Together with the regional and country product management teams, develop business cases for new product development or to create local / regional variants of existing products.
Facilitate communication and responsiveness from the division CSU’s to the EM market’s requirements.
Identify product synergies available within Emerging Markets to maximize volumes and production efficiencies by using consistent products in multiple markets.
Train, educate and demonstrate new products at global, regional and country levels.
Monitor and collect competitor product information from the regions to identify competitive issues and market opportunities. Feed competitor information into other nominated stakeholders for inclusion in more detailed market analysis.
Attend global product meetings representing the Emerging Markets, as required.
Visit the key emerging markets to experience product use and application situations to better understand the individual and regional product needs.
Review product costs to ensure maximization of sales and profit.
Participate in special events to support the EM markets as approved.
Ensure all stakeholders, both internal and external, receive regular communications to assist sales and business growth by being fully informed of product introduction timing, changes and eliminations.
Coordinate new product samples and materials for sales company and distributor meetings, product launches and briefings.

Qualifications and Experience:
Engineering-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
Proven track-record & experience in product management
Experience in most aspects of developing and introducing products
Product application and demonstration skills
Proven experience in customer and market research
Experience with relevant software applications
Experience in outdoor power garden market and/or a technical product background
Location: Flexible. Options include Sweden (Huskvarna) or Shanghai.
