Product Manager Fighter Radar

Your role
As product manager at Fighter Radar, you will work with today´s missile electronics or radars operated by our customers but you will also define next generation fighter sensors. To do this you will actively participate in business development of our products and be responsible for delivering product definitions, investment plans and roadmaps. You will work closely with Marketing & Sales with new prospects and you will guide the System Engineering department with clear objectives regarding your product.

As a product manager, you will have an important role within the PU, including the responsibility for:

* product strategy to ensure alignment with business goals
* product portfolio management and profitability for your products including PLCM
* short- and long-term profitability and be the main driver for product efficiency
* roadmap for product release, technologies used and impact on our installed base
* actively participating in and to support Business development and bid work

All with the main purpose to secure efficient and timely product development, quality and customer satisfaction.

Your profile
In this role, we are looking for someone who likes to develop and challenging themselves as well as our organization and our products. To be successful in this position you need to have the ability to motivate and engage others but also be able to organize, prioritize and take decisions to improve performance and profitability.

We also like you to have:

* Passion for innovation, both regarding technology and business models
* Strong business understanding, customer focus and product development experience
* Ability to build cross functional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
* Appropriate technical knowledge within Systems Engineering in general but with specific knowledge within the radar or RF domain

You have a degree in Engineering or similar and communicates fluently in Swedish and English. Last but not least, you have the ability to support and boost a collaborative work environment with transparency, respect and trust.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Business area Surveillance offers world-leading technology for monitoring and decision support to protect against threats. The portfolio covers radar systems, electronic warfare, combat systems as well as safety and security solutions.

Business Unit Fighter Core Capability within Surveillance has around 1500 employees globally in Sweden, Germany, Finland and South Africa. Fighter Core Capability provides innovative systems and services that utilize the electromagnetic spectrum for protection, detection, location and monitoring. It also provides​ tools for intelligence analysis of the information gathered. The task within aircraft systems is to give the aerospace industry the systems they need to meet the challenges of safe, sustainable and efficient aviation.

The Product Unit Fighter Radar is responsible for the system sales business for Fighter Radar and Missile Electronics. This includes all phases of customer interaction from defining the business and take it all the way to delivery, either through new product development or through maintain and sustain of current products. The product unit works closely with Marketing & Sales when it comes to winning business, with other Product Units within Saab to define and deliver our Gripen Radar and Sensor Core Platforms, with Engineering and Sourcing & Production units when it comes to design, production and delivering our contracts.
