The newly formed Business Development Europe organization has the responsibility to support the 7 regional sales areas within Europe Sales organization with initiatives to increase sales, market penetration and customer satisfaction. Business Development Europe has this role for both ESAB's wide offering of filler metal as well as for our competitive range of welding machines and equipment. Additionally, Business Development Europe has the responsibility to develop ESAB's distribution network in terms of skill, channel type and geographical coverage.

Currently, the position Product Manager Filler Metal Europe is vacant and subject for recruitment

The Product Manager Filler Metal Europe will be responsible for promoting and developing our filler metal offer to the market through our regional sales organization and through our marketing programs. The position interfaces with a local Product Manager in each of the 7 European regional sales units on one hand and with our Global Product Management team on the other hand.

The ultimate responsibility for the position is secure that ESAB maintains its leadership position in the market for filler metals. This responsibility is based on the following areas:
- Ownership of the filler metal product range's competitiveness, quality and availability relative the European market.
- Consolidate and prioritize European regional needs based on market requirements, business potential and profitability and communicate these needs to Global Product Management.
- Understand of markets and opportunities in order to develop marketing programs, new business concepts, activities and launches of new products

You are part of a newly formed Business Development organization and you will be reporting to the Director of Business Development Europe. You are part of a small but experienced team that is working closely together to support the ESAB Europe to become even more competitive and to grow its business from a very strong base.

Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience working with welding technology or filler metals
- Commercial experience and good understanding of market needs
- Experience of working with target driven sales organizations
- Excellent ability to manage projects and drive results in cross functional teams.
- Understanding of product development processes and how to feed market data to product planning and product development organization
- Technical education with a university degree
- Fluency in English languages is a must. Good command of Swedish is a strong merit and additional European languages are an advantage.

Business Development is based in Göteborg, Sweden but your work will be covering all of Europe. For the right candidate it is an option to be based in one of our European offices as an alternative to working in Göteborg. Regular traveling within Europe is required.
