Product Manager – Micvac AB
Micvac AB offers innovative and sustainable solutions for producing superior fresh ready-to-eat foods. The patented technology enables food to be precisely cooked and pasteurized in the packaging itself, which preserves taste and nutrition and does not require preservatives. The products have best-in-class shelf life which reduces food waste throughout the entire value chain.

The Micvac system is a brilliant solution that has enormous potential. We have taken clear steps to strengthen our commercial, technical, and financial resources and will now take a further step to strengthen the marketing capability of the company, to ensure we are able to achieve profitable growth and position us to enter the next stage of our company’s evolution including expanding our business strategically into several key markets across the globe.

As such, we are searching for a Product Manager that will report to the Marketing Director.

General Expectations
The “Product” Champion – the driver of “what makes Micvac the superior choice”. Builds clear data-based value propositions that are linked to customer needs/opportunities. This includes cost-to-produce, sustainability, quality, shelf life, and safety.
Structured & Analytical – possess the ability to map, analyze, and benchmark complex production systems to enable demonstration of the competitive advantage of the Micvac system, as well as further improvement opportunities.
Networking and Partnership – acts as an integrator of insight and knowledge from an internal and external network of stakeholders that enables a credible positioning of the Micvac system.
Visualization & Digitalization – builds fact-based tools and communication materials that enable highly effective marketing and sales processes that secure a smooth customer journey. Has a bias towards streamlining and digitalizing processes and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership
· Brings “product” thinking into the team. Views and positions the entire Micvac system as a holistic product solution.
· Maps out and defines customer segmentation to ensure we are focused on the highest potential opportunities (customers).
· Develops clear insight into existing/competitive solutions that are used to produce chilled ready to eat foods including mapping cost to produce, sustainability, safety etc throughout the value chain.
· Builds a “product/system” selector tool to help potential customers select the optimal system. This includes topics such as production capacity, packaging selection, and automation level.
· Identifies improvement opportunities and feeds these into the innovation and continuous improvement process.
· Drives agenda and acts as the chair of the cross-functional Product Management Council.

Active Communication
· Creates proven tools and materials that will support the sales process with the aim of “making Micvac easy to sell”.
· Shares and promotes the tools and materials across the organization to ensure adoption and use.
· Enjoys being a front-line team member when pitching to new potential customers. Takes the lead in the pitching on the aspect of helping the potential customer to see the clear benefits of Micvac and to select the right system for their needs.
· Able to demonstrate the system use both live and remotely to help potential customers see how easy it is to use the system and make great quality products with it.
· Seeks out opportunities to get the message out into the industry through digital media and real-life presentation opportunities.

Continuous Improvement, Best Practice, & Digitalization
· Acts as a key stakeholder in driving continuous improvement of our offer. Actively collaborates with other key stakeholders on proactive assortment and pricing management.
· Acts as key stakeholder in continuously improving our customer acquisition and development processes.
· Acts as key stakeholder in securing external certifications needed as part of food safety and other requirements.
· Adapts tools and materials into effective digitalized, easy to use solutions.
· Works together with Marketing Director on diverse marketing projects and activities.


Profile
· University degree in Product Engineering, with a focus on packaging, design and logistic.
· Demonstrated work experience in successful positioning and launching of B2B products.
· Commercially and technologically curious to enable competent engagement with a broad business perspective of complex systems.
· Both a leader and a doer that takes initiative to identify and act upon challenges, barriers, inefficiencies – as well as opportunities.
· Analytical and thinking combined with excellent communication skills – able to translate system benefits into product superiority claims (technical, economic, sustainability) that can be leveraged in customer acquisition and development processes.
· A learner who is agile, ambitious, enthusiastic, reliable, and trustworthy team player that is an excellent, both verbally and written, communicator, and a natural relationship builder. A natural communicator that enjoys presenting to potential customers.
· Digitalization skills are in their DNA; possess a solid understanding of new marketing methods and tools.
· Professional level of English and preferably also additional European languages.
