We are one team, handling two businesses. Vehicle Related Services; solutions for trailer handling, and Vehicle Accessories; extra equipment for our trucks and buses. Our team are part of the product management division within the Parts and Service organisation (KP). Our mission is to provide a competitive and sustainable assortment of Parts and Service, that enables maximum uptime and value for our customers, as well as contributing to a consolidated profitable business for Scania. Specifically, this Product Manager will handle products within the area of lighting, light bars, wild bars, snow chains, mudflaps and so on.
We have a lot of interfaces within the Scania organisation, such as Research and Development, purchasing, marketing departments, our logistic department, and our distributors. We work with both product development and sales, in cooperation with other departments and suppliers.
The Product Managers in this team have a great potential in developing the portfolio according to their ideas and ambitions. The members of the team also have the potential to influence the business areas as such, since we welcome everyone to join forces on our road to develop the two businesses.
As we are now looking for a product manager for both Vehicle Related Services and Vehicle Accessories areas, you will be our first Product Manager acting in both businesses and you will get the lead in shaping the role. You will take on challenges such as: how can we manage the assortments in a more efficient way to offer our customers and workshops the best possible assortment within lighting, and do we have other possibilities in our portfolio development?
As Product Manager, you will:
• Be responsible for the product portfolio and its long-term roadmap.
• Develop the portfolio and set the plan for future product development in line with our strategic direction.
• Work with a global market to understand industry trends and customer. requirements which you transform to business cases.
• Work close with marketing departments and communication, Area Managers and distributors to position our offer in the market.
We believe that you:
• Have a university degree in engineering or business and administration, alternatively equivalent work experience.
• Are a team player who enjoys cross-functional collaboration.
• Can manage short-term operational tasks without losing the long-term strategic perspective.
• Can understand customer requirements and translate them into product visions.
• Have an analytical and structured approach to problem solving.
• Are fluent in English.
It is a merit to have worked or have a background from a Distributor or Dealer network, as well as previous experience and sense of commercial sales.
