Stora Enso's company vision is summarized as "Everything that’s made with fossil-based materials today can be made from a tree tomorrow". This ethos of substituting plastics with renewable materials applies in full to Stora Enso's new business unit Formed Fiber.
Formed Fiber materials are based on wood fibers and can be produced to most 3d shapes with many of the same mechanical and functional properties as plastics and so provides a novel and powerful vehicle for displacing plastics. In the last two years alone, Formed Fiber has substituted hundreds of millions of plastic components in the consumer electronics and food service markets. We are now seeing interest in Formed Fiber spread to a much wider field of applications where the market potential is counted in billions of units. The goals of the Formed Fiber team is to capitalize on this opportunity by quickly scaling up capacity, research new technologies and commercialize new applications to become a leader in this market.
Stora Enso has made a strong commitment to Formed Fiber by investing in a new Formed Fiber plant and the formation of this new business unit. The job of the Product Manager will be to navigate this exciting field and help focus our efforts for maximum impact.
Responsibilities
As Product Manager for Formed Fiber, you will develop and manage the Formed Fiber product offering within select target segments. You will work in a fast-paced start-up environment with the backing and infrastructure of a large global corporation. You will be located in Stockholm.
Additionally, you will:
·    Develop strategy and define, optimize and manage the product lifecycle
·    Build the product roadmap using market analytics, voice of customer, technology roadmap and profitability analyses
·    Set product positioning and pricing to balance a competitive product offering with growth & profitability
·    Drive selection of product designs
·    Lead development of new products and implementation of new capabilities together with R&D, Product Design and Operations
Who are we looking for?
·    You are a highly driven and self-motivated individual with the ability to take on work tasks beyond your daily duties
·    You are a strategic thinker with a structured and analytical approach to problem solving
·    You have ability to assess new technologies and their potential to create tangible business results
·    Experience from startups is helpful
·    BSc or MSc in Engineering and / or Business
·    2-4 years of relevant work experience
·    Proficient in English and preferably Swedish
