Product Manager / Head of Hype

As the Head of Product for Hype, you will lead a small team of talented developers, quality engineers and designers and define the future of Chat & Browsing.
Hype is our brand new, fun chat service which is integrated inside Opera Mini, our most popular browser with over 150M users. This is a senior product role where the ideal candidate will likely have several years of hands-on experience leading cross-functional teams with a track record of bringing new concepts to market in the consumer app space. This is a rare opportunity to take the leading role of a new product in an exciting segment and with global reach from day one due to Opera’s massive distribution and brand awareness.
Requirements:
Proven ability to build trust inside and outside organizations
Be hands-on, this is a small efficient team where you will have to go deep in the details as well as pitch the high level vision all within the same day.
Interest in design and user experience
Ability to analyze data, trends
Excellent communication and presentation skills

Desirable:
Experience within Messenger/Chat products
Technical background
Experience in building products for emerging markets
