About us
We are dedicated to electrify our brand in a broad effort with Plug-In hybrids (PHEVs) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). At the engineering department of Propulsion Controls and Calibration, we are responsible for design and delivery of the technical solution of Traction Battery systems for electrified vehicles. We are the core competence centre in Northern Europe in regards to Lithium Ion technology and automotive battery systems.
What´s in it for you
Traction batteries are the enabler in the effort to electrify our vehicles. We develop the complete battery system in-house, meaning that you will be working with a broad range of tasks within different engineering fields with all the skilled engineers within the Traction Battery ART!
You will be a part of the group Traction Battery System Design & SW Management, whose main target is to develop and maintain software for traction batteries. Our software is used both in plug-in hybrid vehicles and in the coming BEV (Battery Electrical Vehicle). The software is developed together with a supplier and in-house within the ART.
As Product Manager Integration (PMI) you will be the main contact to the supplier and within the company for the complete SW delivery. You will be working closely with Product Manager (PM) and Product Owners (PO) to understand and prioritize the work within the ART. Your work include close networking with stakeholders, customers, other ARTs both within your own and other Solutions to understand the needs. The coming need for delivering software to multiple platforms and products will increase the complexity and thus the need for a structured way of working. You will develop your network within Volvo Cars and international suppliers.
What you will do
* Focus on integration both within ART and in between ARTs and operate on PM mandate to handle ART content for a specific battery platform
* Provide my ART teams with information recieved from solution level
* Work togehter with PAM to secure supplier deliveries to program
* Support PM in ART Feature priority to ensure content integration
* Work with release management to define releases and solution increments
* Support the System Architects and PO:s in technical decisions
You and your skills
We believe you have a Master of Science degree or equivalent relevant work experience. You have a good knowledge about product development and several years of documented leadership experience from development of functions, systems, attributes and components. Your strong communication skills will help you to excel in this role, make strong collaboration with connected to get the best solutions. Hence having a positive attitude and team spirit will play an important role in achieving your goals.
