Position title: Volvo Trucks, Product Manager Chemicals and Lubricants

The role
As Volvo Trucks, Product Manager you will contribute to the execution of the Volvo Trucks product and services strategy. You will be the spokesperson for Volvo Trucks Parts Business towards GTT. As competition from Independent Aftermarket is fierce your task is to visualize, live and breathe Volvo Genuine Parts to ensure positive customer loyalty while maximizing revenues and profits for Volvo Trucks throughout the life cycle. This is a new global role is covering support and coordination of all three value chains: ‘Europe/International/China’, Latin America and North America.


You will manage the initiation and prioritization of business proposals within your area of responsibility and follow up on status and delivery. We believe the successful candidate has experience from product management with focus on the commercial aspects and execution. You join a proven highly engaged department that can identify the lead measures and activities that will make us reach our goal.


Main responsibilities and Activities
Driving new products and maintain proper parts assortment for one of the most critical businesses of Genuine Volvo Parts
Formalize business proposals by initiating and driving Product Modification
Requests within area of responsibility
To act as Volvo Trucks customer voice in tech streams
Manage interface, budget and “request for assessment-process” with assigned contractor
Securing legal compliance in cooperation with contractor
Securing health & safety compliance (Black/Grey lists) in cooperation with contractor
Enforce Intellectual Property Infringements (pirates) by prioritizing lawsuits, acting as subject matter expert at trade fairs and in connection with customs seizures in close cooperation with Volvo Group Intellectual Property and
Volvo Trademark Holding to fight unfair competition.
Deliver Value Based Selling Sales argumentation content (Info to market) for the three Regional Value Chains
Securing the Volvo Truck branding requirements, including label approval, in cooperation with GTT, suppliers, assigned contractor and the GVP Managers
Securing information & product data about chemicals & lubricants in cooperation with GTT Product Development and GTT- AMT SPE (Examples: Impact, product data sheets)
Coordinate development/introductions of chemicals & lubricants with GTX-functions
Phase out, replace and update existing chemicals & lubricants not fulfilling technical/legal/supplier/commercial requirements

Your profile
University degree in engineering, business or equivalent
5-7 years of experience in the heavy duty or automotive field
Commercial acumen, and awareness of brand image and price correlation
Proven project management or commodity/category management experience
Strong communication and presentation skills
Networking capabilities and willingness to work across different parts of the Volvo
Group to achieve business growth
Proficient in English, written and spoken
Experience from Services business is a merit
