The SMB onboarding verification experience is key in enabling Zettle to achieve scale, allowing small businesses to grow through selling and getting paid seamlessly. Zettle only scales as fast as its ability to onboard and verify our sellers.
Challenge: Build the next standard in onboarding and business verification by unifying and leveraging PayPal’s existing Risk and Compliance platforms to enable the growth of Zettle globally. Help businesses simplify their risk profile with a single identity in the PayPal ecosystem, and delight businesses as they onboard with us and demonstrate the legitimacy of their transactions inline with key AML & compliance requirements.
Success: It is currently measured by how well integrated and scalable the verification process is across global markets, improving the experience and impacting verification conversion rates of customers globally, the speed of verification, retention of verified users, and more.
The Role: Build strong interpersonal relationships especially with Identity, Compliance, Risk, KYC, Support, Onboarding within a larger PayPal organization. Drive and find clear dependencies to leverage a powerful verification platform for PayPal & Zettle to succeed with. This role will own the onboarding of small businesses from their first interaction with the brand to their first transaction. This involves working with our digital marketing teams on customer acquisition, understanding customer intent during the sign-up, working with Risk and Compliance teams to KYC verification and driving the conversion metrics.


Product Manager Responsibilities
Know your customer: Understanding goals, concerns, behaviour patterns of the Zettle users, build use cases around those goals and patterns and translate use cases into product definitions and prioritised backlogs.
Execute on strategy & tactics: Deep understanding of Zettle’s mission and strategies, manage product vision for the cross-functional team, set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals. You’ll execute at a fast pace with a focus on delivering impact to customers.
Operative team leader: Set your team for success by collaborating closely with a team of engineers, designers and potentially other stakeholders.
Communication: Clearly communicate the product plans, objectives and performance measures and progress against plans to all stakeholders – tailoring communication as appropriate to ensure relevance to the audience.
Use data: Define, monitor and analyze metrics for existing and upcoming products and features - feed learnings back into the product development process
Collaboration: Partner closely with leaders across product, engineering, marketing, and data science, as well as external partners and customers. Maintain a strong point of view on what is best for the user and for Zettle.

Profile
You are a seasoned Product Manager with extensive experience who enjoys solving problems for small businesses, consumers, with relevant experience with fintech products.
You care about the user and understands the role of UX and design in product success.
You care about agile software processes, data-driven development (based on data and user interviews)
You have a good technical understanding so that you can help your team prioritise technological investments, tech debt reduction, bugs and new features
Data-minded whenever possible. You deeply understand how your products work and how to measure long-term impact. You can design, run, and interpret experiments and A/B tests, and probably know a bit of SQL.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills; storytelling; ability to speak fluently to engineers, designers, business people and partners.
Strong interpersonal skills and happy to work in a team environment.
You are able to meet goals by manage your own time as well as the capacity of the teams you are working closely with.
