One of the key success factors for Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is the close collaboration we have with our customers in driving continuous improvement in our products and services. Our division Rock Tools has in-depth understanding of our customers’ requirements and can provide them with everything from on-site support to training and a suite of digital solutions. The division’s Product Line Services are there to support the ones working alone, whether underground or on the surface.
For a dynamic and engaged service team, we’re now looking for a Product Manager to join us in a setting surrounded by exciting products and new technology, and here you’ll be given great opportunities to develop and interact with our customers. Your job
In this position, you’re responsible for grinding equipment and associated tools used in the mining industry. You take lead in identifying, developing and evaluating our products – spanning all the way from new product ideas and enhancements, to existing products or strategic product extensions – and you keep track of all phases of the life cycle for the products in our portfolio. Together with the sales organization and R&D, you create a profitable product offering and ensure a successful setup for production, supply-chain, marketing, technical support, R&D projects and spare parts delivery. In other words, you enable our success in the field by translating research discoveries into usable and marketable products and by securing excellent service and product offerings to our customers.
Your skills and personality
We’re looking for someone with a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, combined with solid experience from a similar role. You have knowledge within the area’s electronics, mechanics, R&D, supplier interaction and services. To succeed in this position, you need great stakeholder management skills and commercial or financial experience. Working in a global environment also calls for excellent skills in English.
You’re a self-starter who enjoys taking initiative and responsibility – and this combined with your goal-oriented mindset enable you to understand the needs of the market and our customers. With a structured and thorough approach, you know how to balance your everyday tasks and possible challenges. In addition, being a true team player and excellent communicator help you build good relations across the organization.
