Product Manager to Editorial Services

Arbetsbeskrivning

Schibsted Product & Tech is hiring a Product Manager to the Editorial Services team. This is a new role in the team, and it is created to transition the team from focusing on delivery and operations to unleash the power of a true product mindset. As a Product Manager in Editorial Services, you will be part of a team of about 15 Products Managers.

Shared Products & Platforms operate “Core News Product'' (CNP). CNP is Schibsted’s suite of news production tools, and is used by Schibsted’s news brands such as Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet, VG, Aftenposten, Bergens Tidende and Stavanger Aftenblad. The suite includes products for writing articles, discovering news stories, publishing video and podcasts, automating front pages, live coverage and managing comments, in addition to user facing platforms such as web pages and apps.

Over the last years, the editorial systems used for the printed newspapers have been handled separately from the production of online news. As the decline of print circulation has leveled off, we want to change this. We see huge potential in optimizing the editorial processes and tools in a more holistic way that we have been. In addition to developing an increasingly efficient workflow, important elements in the work can for example be image processing, planning tools, use of graphic elements across platforms and so on.

So if you are up for the challenge of bringing modern product development philosophy into the production of a classic news product, then this is the role for you. Joining a team of great product managers, we will revolutionize how we create news across all platforms.

Your responsibilities include

- Working with the team on a day-to-day basis
Translating the roadmap into a concrete backlog and maintaining it

- Looking after the well-being of the team

- Contributing to the larger SPP & News Media context

Requirements

- Product Management experience from the technology sector
