Travel Solutions within Product Management and Presales at Scania Buses & Coaches has the global responsibility to assure that the right solutions for Travel Operations are developed, and to ensure that our current portfolio delivers expected results, through focus on pricing, product cost, marketing activities, as well as sales and presales support. You will be part of a team with both experience and drive, and as a product manager you will have the opportunity to build a great insight into the travel segment as well as all aspects of the Scania offering and work methods within both sales, marketing and R&D at Scania.

The role
As a product manager within Buses & Coaches, you are leading the travel segment and solutions development within the assigned region of the world. You have a mandate to prioritize and drive development of products as well as market activities, making this a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Scania bus and coach business. We are in a very exciting time with major changes in the industry as well as within Scania, seeing and influencing first-hand the transition to sustainable people transport, and this is an opportunity to truly take a centre position in that journey.
Responsibilities
• Lead the travel segment and solution development within assigned region
• Build and share knowledge of the people transport eco-system and product offering
• Develop and communicate product and service strategy and business plan for assigned geographical area
• Follow through the development of new products including deployment on the market
• Identify needs of and specify requirements of market introductions and events
• Maximize volume & profitability in each application through competitive and sustainable offers
• Monitor product, sales and profitability performance and take necessary actions
• Work actively with key customers with joint development initiatives
Managing the travel segment work in a region of the world is a demanding task that poses high demands on the applicant. We are looking for someone with solid experience (prefreably around 5-10 years) from relevant areas, such as product management, sales management, product engineering- or development, digitalization or telematics. Experience from a bus operator or other position in the people transport sector is highly meriting.
The ideal candidate is a business-minded person with a strong ability to balance strategic questions with opportunities and challenges arising in current business. You have a strong interest in the physical products as well as the customer needs relating to such as services solutions and telematics. You have an excellent ability to draw conclusions and prioritize within complex issues and do data-driven decisions. As a leader you are able to set the strategic direction of the travel solutions segment in the region and can get people on board in that journey. Further, you know that the customer is in the centre of everything we do, and you enjoy working towards set targets. You are comfortable with English in speech and writing, and additional languages spoken are considered a merit.
