Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is expanding, and with the most ambitious activity plans ever we are bringing the company to the next level. To keep up with the increasing global demand for our products and services we are looking for experienced and professional Product Managers.
There is now an opportunity to be part of a committed team within Scania Sales and Marketing, Product Management. Our team plays a strategic role in reaching Scania’s global long term sales objectives.
Product Management has the global, commercial responsibility for the truck business. We have a broad responsibility that covers customer demand analysis, product marketing, pricing, product requirements and product planning.
Your responsibilities
You will be responsible to expand the business within a region. This entails setting long-term volume and profit objectives, as well as supporting our distributors to achieve them by initiating marketing activities and developing the current product portfolio, all in close collaboration with our central functions such as Research and Development as well as Scania´s business units around the world.
You will also initiate global product marketing projects. This means that you will have the opportunity to influence how our products reach the market and are perceived and used by our customers and salesmen.
The guiding star in all work is the customer's current and future needs. Customer needs analysis is therefore crucial. That knowledge is then turned into business opportunities through marketing activities and product requirements.
Your skills and experiences
You need to be passionate about customer needs and have both a genuine product interest and a commercial understanding. You have good analytical skills and enjoy working in close collaboration with different parts of a company. Furthermore you have a structured way of working and are able to drive strategic activities under great own responsibility. Experience of working with industrial projects, customer needs, sales, product usage and marketing are of merit. You have a relevant academic degree or equivalent work experience. Good English verbally and in writing is a requirement.
