Volvo Cars is performing a strategic shift towards becoming a software driven company, with data being a core asset in this transformation. One challenge within the industrial cluster is the legacy application landscape which has been emerging gradually over 40 years. This has led to core information being scattered over several different applications. To overcome this, we are exploring possibilities to move core information into a common data platform in order to improve reliability and availability of the data. Furthermore, we are striving towards having one single source of truth for the data and to enable efficient governance of production critical data.
You will join the Order Management & Planning product cluster within Digital Core at Volvo Cars. This product cluster delivers digital solutions that improve stability and consistency in the production plan, which will enable us to provide shorter and more accurate guidance to our customers. You will be part of the journey as we deliver on our company’s vision and ensure high flow through our factories. We use modern tools to ensure high quality and adaptability in our delivery. For the way of working, we follow the Agile framework with 2-week sprints to create business value continuously. We are constantly evaluating how to work in the best way, applying common sense to ensure as little waste as possible.

What you’ll do
You will be articulating and consistently emphasizing the short- and long-term vision of the product to the team and relevant stakeholders. You will be involved in discussions around the suggested initiatives and understand what will brings most value for the company, at the same time together with the team come up with innovative solutions and find ways to utilize the data management capabilities to drive our transformation as a company.
You will be owning, building, prioritizing, deciding and refining the stories in the Team Backlog including defects and enablers as well as participating in the development of story acceptance criteria and drafting them when feasible. You will do it from a business perspective to streamline the execution, while maintaining the technical integrity of the features/components for the team.

We are looking for you who involve the team in backlog refinement to achieve minimum handover and maximum joint understanding as well as understanding the scope of the upcoming enabler work, collaborating with the team and architects to assist with decision-making, and sequencing of the key technological infrastructures. You will be validating stories making sure they meet the acceptance criteria, definition of done (DoD), and has the appropriate tests and draft the team’s specific objectives.
We believe it’s important you are available to the team and answering their questions as well as participating in Scrum ceremonies according to agreement in the team. You will effectively coordinate content dependencies with other Product Owners.
It also important you are continuously developing your own skills and help the team and other Product Owners develop theirs. We also want you to be an effective member of the cluster, and contribute to the vision, roadmap, and content presentations.

You and your skills
You are experienced in driving product strategy and operations as a Product Owner or equivalent role (i.e. Scrum Master, Data Analytics, Data Engineer, etc.)  as well as working in the Data Management domain. It’s a merit if you have been working in roles leveraging Enterprise data at scale, Business Intelligence and Analytics. 
Experience in facilitating collaboration between teams and management with agile development methodologies. You are excellent at communication, presenting and relationship building with teams and global stakeholders.
