We are seeking a Product Owner to join an agile team for a customer project in Stockholm.
They empower the organisation to comply with global and regional product policies in a safe, inclusive and sustainable way, thereby delivering the best products to their customers that make them look and feel good.
You will get the opportunity to work in a dynamic & creative Product Area where the teams have the responsibility for the Design & Product Development of tech solutions for the organisation. They have just formed their teams and their area, so they have an adventure and learning journey ahead of us in many ways.
The product team has high agile maturity and consists of a team of approximately 10 people, located in Sweden and India, with close collaboration with colleagues in Hong Kong.
We are looking for a person who has experience of leading hands on agile tech deliveries in a business context with a strong customer focus and willingness to learn.
Key responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of the product (full lifecycle from ideation, through requirements, tech implementation and rollout to optimisation) with ultimate accountability for business and customer value delivered
- Lead a cross-functional team of engineers and business expert to execute and deliver value
- Translate customer needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their product
- Define MVPs, manage product backlog priorities, and strategically de-scope to achieve rapid feedback cycles
- Provide great tech solutions for your product and ensure tech is an accelerator
- Establish and manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure optimal collaboration across relevant business functions in the broader company
- Establish and manage relationships with key external vendors to ensure optimal collaboration and long- term strategic partnerships.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of market / industry landscape and customer needs through close collaboration with key stakeholders and users to adjust strategy and priorities dynamically
- Clearly communicating the product mission, OKRs, and backlogs across the organisation
Essential (must have) skills, knowledge and experience
- English language proficiency
- At least five years of leading and supporting hands on agile tech deliveries in a Product Owner role and/or as a Scrum Master
- Knowledge of agile methods such as scrum, Kanban, SAFe
- Experience from working with development teams from ideas and requirements, to implementation, delivery and maintenance
- Understanding of DevOps concepts and an interest in operational stability and excellence
Qualifying skills, knowledge and experience
- Swedish language proficiency
- Experience from working with distributed and/or outsourced teams
- Worked with tools such as JIRA and confluence
Personal attributes
- Flexible and able to balance between internal and customer interests
- Ability to understand and analyse complex information and share it in effective and powerful communications
- Ability to understand people psychology and to connect to people to encourage new behaviours
- Ability to take responsibility, work proactively and continuously improve activities in complex, quickly transforming environments
