Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

Who we are:
At Connected Experience, you will be a key contributor to the next generation of Volvo's premium cars. Working with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative connected car technology that simplifies life and enhances enjoyment for people. Our daily work involves transforming ideas into innovations that meet the high standards of future vehicles.
This team, the Wireless Hardware Team, develops products within a number of different technology areas, such as 3G/4G/5G communication, V2X, telematics, NFC, and UWB/BLE. We are responsible for all wireless technology required to create an always-connected experience.
We are currently seeking a Product Owner to strengthen our team. You will work as the PO for two teams, Wireless HW and Wireless COM. The main goals for the Wireless HW team are to develop hardware and software for integrated connectivity and wireless modules, along with suppliers. The Wireless COM team consists of experts in technology, delivering projects developed through advanced engineering and research.

What you’ll do:
As the Product Owner in a cross-functional team, which includes Global Design Leaders, Hardware Engineers, Software Engineers, and Technical Experts, you will work closely with the Technology Manager, delegated to deliver technology aligned with the vision, roadmap, and program plans.
You will be responsible for cross-cluster product ownership for our Wireless Hardware products and will communicate the product area vision and roadmap. As the PO, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the product for the best business value and ensure cross-functional needs and priorities are met. You will also ensure that our product concepts meet legal requirements and certifications. Identifying bottlenecks and facilitating continuous improvement of existing and future products will also be part of your role.
Working as a Product Owner, you will have the opportunity to influence the future of connectivity hardware and supplier-developed software for our cars. Together with your team, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality and cost over time by taking responsibility for product performance, both functional and non-functional, as well as ensuring overall compliance in the complete vehicle.

Who you are:
You are a team player with great communication skills and a genuine interest in technology. You can work independently and take necessary actions on your own initiative. You are a motivated person with an analytical and solution-based mindset. Your technical competence and ability to collaborate to navigate complex situations will lead to sound decisions and technical solutions.
You should possess a University degree in embedded electronics hardware or electronics hardware design, or have acquired equivalent skills through practical experience in these specific areas. Additionally, you should have around 8 years of experience in hardware development within the automotive industry or consumer market.
Moreover, you must demonstrate proven communication and coaching skills, along with the ability to make informed decisions based on thorough risk assessment. You should also exhibit a strong curiosity and a drive for continuous self-improvement.

We encourage candidates of all backgrounds and genders to apply. We are committed to fostering diversity and inclusion within our organization and believe that diverse perspectives enhance our ability to innovate and connect with our customers better.
