Who are we
The Electric Drive Software department at Volvo Cars is proud of being one of the most successful players within SW development for Electric Vehicles. We are responsible for delivering system solution and SW functionality for the Inverters in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best and most innovated functions to the market and continuously evolve our Software platform.
The Inverter Controls team is an agile team consisting of enthusiastic people with a mix of gender, ages and nationalities. High focus on collaboration and communication within the group and it is good cohesion between the group members. New members always get warm welcome, support and acceptance.
Who are you
You are passionate about development of complex mechatronic systems within vehicle electrification, electronics and embedded systems. You are devoted to driving engineering challenges all the way from business case and concept stage to mass production.
You have senior background within Power Electronics field and is a natural initiator that commits to deliver the Team´s deliverables with high precision on quality. You are a team player that contributes and bring out the best from your fellow team members and work actively to increase your work network.
What you will do
As a Product Owner (PO) you will be working closely together with the Team, Team Manager, Scrum Master, PM of the ART and stakeholder in other ARTs to maximize the value for our customers. You own the tech in backlog, Vision and Roadmap for the team and keep the future horizon to identify upcoming enabler work and collaborate together with System and Solution Architect to assist with execution of enabling future Unique Selling Point (USP) functions connected to the Electric Drive Technical road map. You should maximize the value-added work by owning and deciding upon priorities in the program backlog from a technical, time-to-market and business perspective.
You will be responsible for the Electric Drive Safety team and their current scope is:
* Technical safety concept, requirements, implementation and verification plan in V-model and secure that Electric Drive fulfill the ISO 26262 standard.
* Keep the holistic view over the Electric drive lines Safety functions and responsible for implementation.
* Safety SIL testing together with verification of function area.
* Legal Technical work products required to release SW functions to Production vehicles and Aftermarket.
* Support with technical expertise to external and internal stakeholders.
You and your skills
* Master of Science or Bachelor of Science within Electrical, Electronics, Controls Theory, Signals & Systems or Mechatronics
* Minimum of 6-10 years of relevant job experience from Embedded SW, integration of micro controllers and model bases SW development
* Function Safety development from automotive project with ASIL D integrity
* Being part of write safety documentation according to ISO 26262 (e.g. Safety Plan, Safety Analysis including FMEA, Safety Manual and Safety Case)
* Debugging/testing embedded software systems and automation
* SCRUM/agile development
* Advanced level in the English language and be comfortable and skilled in explaining or understanding complexed solutions.
* Driver´s license
