We are looking for a Product Owner for some of the Controller products within 800xA. The current product line is very successful, and we are about to design the next generation control products. The 800xA is the market leading DCS system present in huge number of customers installations in all kinds of industries. With the right approach and skill, you can make a great impact in this role.
As a Product Owner you are the link between the development teams and product management. Someone that coordinates and prioritizes the feature development and maintenance activities in the product backlog.
As a Product Owner you work with our global product managers, working out the product line vision, and long-term product evolution. You have a key role in both the major planning sessions and sprint planning. And also plan for and lead the demo presentations on sprint and increment level. You have the possibility to impact the products features and the product roadmap.
As a Product Owner you will be reporting to R&D Team Manager and work closely with the development teams to analyze the requirements; identify and breakdown work packages, as well as defining the acceptance criteria. You take part in usability discussions as well as technical discussions. You also have an active role in product requirement definition and management.
Based on your background and interest you could also drive investigations and feature development.
Your responsibilities
Creation and maintenance of the product backlog
Participate in the development team planning
Drive the forum with product management
Plan for demos on different levels
Drive the scope and release planning for externa demos and releases
Making judgments and contributing to results through an understanding of the key business drivers for ABB
Ensuring alignment with targets and coordinating activities
Monitoring technology developments and ABB products and technologies, and identifying technical drivers for R&D projects
Working to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction according to incoming requests, and providing consulting services to business operations and customers
Participating in working teams, disseminating technical/scientific knowledge in projects, and assisting colleagues in applying processes and tools.
Your background
3+ years of experiences in software development or relevant environment
Good knowledge in agile development methodology
Knowledge in the Industrial Automation is meritorious
Experiences from leading positions is meritorious
Experiences form product owner work or product management is meritorious
A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in computer engineering, computer science or something similar.
