Product Owner - Active Parts Design Team

Arbetsbeskrivning

Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

Where You’ll Belong
At the Electric Driveline department, we design the heart of the electric car – the electric drive unit that provides power to the wheels. We design electronics, electric motors and transmissions with a lot of attention to sustainability and energy efficiency, aiming for the world’s best electric drivelines.

Are you a leader, ready to take on a key role for the Electric Driveline department? Then the role as Product Owner for our Active Parts design team is the place for you to prosper. We are a team that has fun together while working hard to develop the rotor and stator in the electric machine in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with future tech to ensure we will be leading in electrification, and you will also have a direct influence on the sustainability agenda and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do
As a product owner (PO) you will own, build, prioritize, decide, and refine the stories (tasks) in the team’s backlog. You will participate in formulating and reviewing the acceptance criteria for stories and support the team through continuous feedback. You will take lead in the coordination of content dependencies with other product owners, relevant stakeholders and decision-makers.

In addition to the daily interactions with your team, where you play an important role as a servant leader, you will also be a member of the extended Product Management team and review and contribute to the program-level vision, roadmap, and content.

Competence is Important
We believe that you have previous experiences as a technical leader or architect in an electronic hardware organization, or similar. Job experience relative to electrical hardware is highly meritorious.

As a foundation, we see that you have an education within Mechanics or Mechatronic or have equivalent competence. In addition, you preferably have previous hands-on experience of working with mechanical or mechatronics development.

Personality is Key
We seek someone who is inspired by the challenge of creating control out of situations with unclarity. You paint the bigger picture and inspire people to follow. You get energy from aligning many stakeholders in project roadmaps and have the ability to communicate information in a structured manner.

You are a customer-oriented person who enjoys being part of a high-performing team. You embrace the AGILE principles, are curious and have an innovative mindset.
