We at Analytics Operation work to always stay on top when it comes to offering great products for data science and Advanced Analytics in the Quality and Warranty area. These products are mostly used internally to find errors in and improve our overall quality in our trucks. We are an agile team of about 10 people, but we are growing and looking to become an even bigger team very soon. Our way of work is new to us, that is why we are driven by curiosity and it is important for us to think outside of the box and try new things to be able to best succeed in our new agile work ways. We are very much driven by our passion for what we do and we also value great communication – because without communication we cannot work with so much flexibility and trust as we do today. Lastly, we strongly believe that a helpful team who is passionate about what they do is the key for an effective and good work environment.


Role description


As our new Project Owner, Exploration in the area of Advanced Analytics you will have full responsibility for the complete lifecycle of your set of products. You will actively work and engage in the Analyze and Design phase in the product management lifecycle together with your Product owner peers. You will together with the other product owners in the team define the User community’s challenges and support them through producing desirable products. In that way you will drive availability and implementation of your products for Advanced Analytics. This role also includes a lot of team work and communication outside of your own department and with our other organizations, that is why it is important that you have great communications skills and that you receive energy and inspiration from new environments.


Your main activities and responsibilities will be:
Identify current and future needs in the area of Data and Advanced Analytics products to support different expert roles within our organization
Actively keep a dialogue and be involved in the external market to keep up to date on what the current and future in the area of Data Science holds.
Collaborate with others on Quality Journal or Task forces with an analytics nature and compose teams from our department to find solutions and proposals
Drive availability and implementation of your products for Advanced Analytics in Quality and Warranty area and also collaborations of joint products within Volvo Group or with external partners 

Who are you?

You have a strong eagerness to find modern simple solution to complex problems while always holding a strong customer and user focus. We are looking for someone with good communication and networking skills, with an understanding of both complex business and technical subjects.


We believe that to succeed in this role you have the following:
Master of Science or equivalent in Engineering, Statistics, Appl. mathematics or Computer Sc.
10 years of experience within any Analytics area, 5 of which in a preferably Data Science Role or IT Architect Role
1 - 3 years of experience in a Product Owner Role
Experience from Agile or Lean deliveries or organizations
Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
